Understanding ADD?
- ADD affects up to 10% of children
with 2% being severely disadvantaged.
- Many children with ADD experience
learning difficulties such as dyslexia, language difficulties,
or a weakness in maths.
- ADD affects learning and behaviour
as the child grows older. Although behaviour changes, problems
continue and 60% of ADD children will carry some of their behaviour
patterns with them into adulthood
- ADD is thought to be heredity.
Many children with ADD have a close relative (usually male) who
will have the same or similar problems.
